Haha, doesn't that make me sound so professional?
Who is this guy?
I grew up in Seattle (in Kent, but Seattle paints the picture ok?) and studied at the University of Washington. At first, I was a premed student with a love of creative mediums, and eventually (to my RN parent's dismay) learned through Informatics how I could connect my love of design to my dream to help others. I focused on UX Design and Content Strategy in Informatics and joined Avanade straight out of college, and it was there I learned the ins and outs of user experience design, visual design, and then bridging those two together as a product designer.
While I'm grateful I've been able to help folks through design, I've come to learn that a creative hobby isn't a creative release, so outside of work I'm seeking ways to incorporate my love of creating in other ways. As of right now, that's making rugs and interior design!
Outside of that, I'm an avid formula 1 fan, aspiring home cook, and wannabe audiophile. Huge fan of Tatsuro Yamashita and Sakanaction.

Thank you to Heidi Buchwald, Eric Moran, Travis Wood, Brad Pizzaloto, Vincent Howard, Wendy Lundquist, James Abernethy, Dave Stearns, Marilyn Ostergren, Jason Yip, Richard Sturman, and the late Scott Barker for all being such meaningful educators that have instilled a passion for education and mentorship in me.
Thank you to Daniel Kim, Scottie Lau, Brian Fling, Khang Lee, Raphaela Hunter, Josh Brantley, Klay Simmons and Yuri Tran for being both inspirations and educators throughout my journey to become a better designer.
Thank you to Alexis Choi, Andrea Diep, Suvir Copparam, Sayarpreet Walia, Jenny Feng, and Jenny Zhang for all of the mentorship and guidance you've given me throughout my life.
Thank you to every student that I've ever had the opportunity to be a TA for.
Thanks for reading this, too.
